Club Monaco launches local farmers’ market at Toronto flagship

Known for its classic style, high-end fashion retailer Club Monaco launched their first-ever farmers’ market at their flagship store in Toronto, offering trendy treats to customers from some of the city’s top local food and flower offerings. The market will sit outside the Club Monaco store at 157 Bloor Street and operate seven days a week until mid-October.

“Club Monaco was founded in Toronto almost 30 years ago and we want to continue to give back to the city that has given us so much in shaping what Club Monaco is today,” said John Mehas, chief executive officer at Club Monaco.

“The market at Bloor Street brings the best local chefs, baristas, bakers and florists to our flagship store for our customer to experience and celebrate the lifestyle of Toronto.”

This is part of an ongoing strategy for the Canadian-born international retailer bringing a unique lifestyle narrative to their brand. They were the first fashion brand to create a concept shop inside world-renowned restaurant, Noma and their New York City flagship location boasts a coffee shop and bookstore – a trend which can be spotted around the world in a range of boutiques.

For their Toronto market, Club Monaco and each of the local partners collaborated to create a custom assortment of their favorite items. Known local favourites include Parts & Labour which is offering a white fish and quinoa salad, Boxcar Social artisanal coffees, Bake Shoppe homemade sweet treats, Philips Ice Pops gourmet fresh fruit and herb ice pops, and bouquets from Sweet Woodruff flower shop.
